SailNY, a non-profit association, has brought affordable, public access sailing to New York Harbor since 1996. With our fleet of five 27-foot Solings for racing and teaching, two cruisers and two safety boats, SailNY offers a full program of sail training and racing, as well as recreational sailing.
Frostbite Racing
We begin our annual frostbting program on Sunday, November 6, 2011, wtih a morning rules seminar in the morning and practice races after lunch. A series of 10 races, on alternate Sundays, costs $250. Write for an application.
Basic Keelboat Instruction
Basic Keelboat instruction will next be offered in April 2012.
Annual Membership: $25.00
Basic Keelboat Instruction (16 hours): $325.00
Five events of recreational sailing or racing: $150.00
Ten events: $250.00
Unlimited (April 16, 2011, through October 31, 2011: $350
Learn-to-Sail Special: Basic Keelboat Instruction plus 10-event card: $475.00. Fees may be paid with PayPal from our "pricing" page.
