Home
SailNY, a non-profit association, has brought affordable, public access sailing to New York Harbor since 1996. With our fleet of five 27-foot Solings for racing and teaching, two cruisers and two safety boats, SailNY offers a full program of sail training and racing, as well as recreational sailing.
Recreational sailing is open to any member who is a skipper at any time. Non-skippers can sail with skippers whenever available, but we try to have skippers on board on Wednesday evenings and on weekends.
Basic Keelboat Instruction
Basic Keelboat instruction is now available. A course comprises 16 hours of instruction, generally taught on two consecutive Sundays from 9:45 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Annual Membership: $25.00
Basic Keelboat Instruction (16 hours): $325.00
Five events of recreational sailing or racing: $150.00
Ten events: $250.00
Unlimited (April 16, 2011, through October 31, 2011: $350
Learn-to-Sail Special: Basic Keelboat Instruction plus 10-event card: $475.00. Fees may be paid with PayPal from our "pricing" page.
