Introduction
SailNY, New York City's Community Sailing Association, now in its 14th year, is a not-for-profit community group dedicated to providing affordable, public-access sailing in New York Harbor. The association offers sail training, recreational sailing--both fleet and match racing--and cruising. The program was made possible through several grants. Click here to view a list of contributors.
Sailing is one of the city's best kept secrets - join our outdoor activities, learn to sail, and explore Manhattan from a different vantage point.
Our facilities within Lincoln Harbor Marina, Weehawken, are a seven-minute bus ride from Port Authority Bus Terminal, Manhattan. (Use the #158 bus from Gate 202.) The marina, one minutes from the western end of the Lincoln Tunnel, has free parking.
Our not-for-profit rates are extremely affordable. we offer the following activities:
- Sailing, racing, flotillas, instruction and monthly get-togethers in a friendly group
- Unlimited sailing and racing from April through October for just $350.
- Basic Keelboat Instruction (16 hours) for $325
- Sail all winter in our Frostbiting Series for $400
We teach a learn-to-sail course, Basic Keelboat, comprising two consecutive Sundays, until the end of October. See "Our Activities | Instruction" for details and an application.
If you purchase a 10-Event Card--an event is a day of recreational sailing or racing--when you enroll in a course, you will save $100.(See "Combination" at the end of the pricing page.)

| Our next Get-together.
Friends and members are invited to join us for our monthly get-together on Tuesday, 23 June, at 7:30 p.m. at the Riviera Cafe, 225 West Fourth Street (northwest corner of Seventh Avenue South. (#1 train to Sheridan Square, in the Village)
Our first summer racing series beings on Sunday, 12 July, with a seminar and practice race. Write to racing@SailNY.org for an application. |
